Prints of FMC President

History of the print.
The original oil painting "The Fellows Morton & Clayton Depot at Leicester" was painted by D.C. Miller. It was commissioned by Nicholas Bostock who, along with Malcolm Braine, were responsible for putting President back into steam when it was bought in 1973.

'President' & 'Kildare' are owned by the Black Country Living Museum, and the boats are taken to various events each year by the support group 'Friends of President', who also help with the maintenance etc. of the boats. They also help raise funds to assist the museum in the costly business of keeping boats like these on the water.

To help in the fund raising, 'Friends of President' was given permission to have a limited edition print made from the painting. 250 prints are signed and numbered by the artist, with a further 375 prints available neither signed nor numbered.

ALL of the profits from the sale of these prints will be donated to the 'Friends of President', only the costs involved with taking the payment and posting the print will be kept by The Canal Shop Company.

Each print will be sent out in its own postal tube, included in the price. If you order any other maps that require a tube please order a separate one for those maps, they will not be included with the print.

Picture size: 15¼" x 11" approx. There are standard size frames available of 20" x 16", with a mount aperture of 16" x 12" that take this print very well.
